1) What are a few things you do to stay environmentally friendly?
I grow my own veggies! Usually tomatoes, peppers, herbs, strawberries, beans etc.. All summer I cook with them, and give them to friends or family. I'm also very conscious about water consumption. For the veggies I have an app that only waters what is needed, and if it rains it won't water them at all. Also I always like shut it when brushing my teeth or only running the dishwasher when it's full etc... -I LOVE this and think it's so cool you're able to do it in this concrete jungle. I'm also inviting myself over for a veggie meal any time you're free... ;)
2) Do you have any favorite sustainable or ethical clothing lines?
To be honest before doing this, I never really thought twice about what I bought. One thing I've always done since I was a kid, is donate to Good Will or Salvation Army. I always feel good about my clothes having another life after I'm done with them. ;) -Before ODM/ODC I was in the same boat... It's all about becoming aware and doing what you can. Donating is an incredible way to give back and keep you in check with your consumption levels. Once you start learning more about sustainability you'll be able to delve into new techniques on reducing consumption and buying into sustainable/ethical brands:)
3) What are some of your favorite organic beauty products?
I have been using a product called Biologique Recherche for the past 10 years. The products are a bit pricey, but definitely worth it. (La Mer Eye Balm Intense and sunscreen are staples though not entirely sure how "organic" they are!) ;)
One of my favorite spas is called Naturopathica. They give amazing facials and their products are so clean, you really feel good using them. I love their Rose Geranium Soothing Mist and White Tea Face Mask. Plus, they are a women owned company! (Whoop!)
4) On a day off, you’re heading to your favorite coffee shop. What are you wearing?
Most likely jeans and a tee shirt or black jeans, boots and an oversized sweater if it's cold out.
5) Tell me about something you’re doing simultaneously with modeling that motivates you. Another job? A project? Volunteering? A hobby?
I'm always exercising! Growing up I studied ballet pretty intensively. So I've always been disciplined with working out. Lately it's been mostly yoga/ hot yoga but I also love Pilates and still do ballet and the occasional run and weight circuit.
6) In addition to modeling, what else may you be doing in your future, say 5 years from now?
Hopefully traveling the world and possibly starting a family ;) -Speaking of travel, I HOPE we get to travel again soon. You're one of the few people I'd actually want to get stuck on a five hour layover with.... Good times;)
